About the project
Marriott Hospitality teamed up with Kahler Design to style the three floors of the Marriott Management Offices located in DIFC’s Central Park Towers. ATS handled the fitout while CBRE took over the project management.
Marriott’s vision was to create a bright and functional office interior that helped stimulate creativity while maintaining the aesthetic benchmarks of the brand. The concept aimed at creating a single, open plan, work hub with multiple collaborative areas that would foster connectivity between staff.
The design theme is mainly industrial, with exposed surfaces, timber and concrete flooring, and black metal transom strips. An impressive and spacious reception features a desk that serves as a collaboration bench for visitors and staff, while a tree and full height moss walls further emphasise the biophilic element of design.
In addition to housing larger meeting rooms, the reception area also features an M ‘Live’ Lounge – an interactive space used by multiple groups, which is a signature element in every Marriott office. Open and cellular collaborative areas are spread across the three floors and range from small groups of cosy, soft seating and high benches, to standing meeting rooms and a formal boardroom.
Although each department has its own dedicated space, they nevertheless blend seamlessly into the other through luxury vinyl tile flooring and carpets. Each department is distinguishable via coloured, pendant lights. A spacious cafeteria on the middle floor incorporates a library and games area, as well as a pantry with ample seating.
