About the project
Mojeh is a fashion magazine that reports on the latest trends in men’s and women’s fashion from around the globe. Swiss Bureau worked for the magazine’s CEO, Mojeh Izadpanah, and her team to carefully structure the Mojeh Executive Office, Dubai to deliver a work experience that would reflect the brand and its ethos.
The brief delivered by the client was to create a bright, functional and well-planned interior that stimulates creativity. The client wanted a bright and clean design with light materials and fashion photography, in order to create a stylish, sophisticated and elegant office space where the team could invite top fashion brands such as Prada, Louis Vitton and Cartier.
The concept for space consisted of monolithic blocks of marble that would form the walls that divided the space. Each of these blocks had their own function integrated; and it ranged from video wall, bench, bookcase to printer station. The entire office has been designed according to principles of Vastu to increase the performance of employees, improve energy flow and to create a well-balanced office space that stimulates employees’ productivity.
The place has a clean, warm and unique appeal, which distinguishes itself through the simplicity of its materials. White marble, gold paint and black metal work perfectly together to bring that simplistic, elegant and chic style. Upon arriving, the visitors walk through a tunnel with a long-running, champagne-coloured niche in the centre, which houses the 12 issues of the magazine released in the past year.
The tunnel leads to the reception – a bright, airy space encapsulated in curved glass and white marble. Adjacent to the meeting space is the open pantry with a long black marble table to conduct client and staff meetings. The library lounge, with its curved display case, sits as a feature within the space and grabs immediate attention. The back of this bookcase is what the client calls her “Beauty box” – a space for important products from their key brands.
The team would occasionally use this area to film their videos and talk about latest releases in the world of makeup and accessories. Close to the lounge are other management offices, the Director’s office and the photo studio with a custom design closet. The materials used all over the place are light and bright. White Italian marble on the floor and wall, together with bent glass walls and brushed-brass details, all of which give the space a luxurious feeling.
