About the project
Noépe stands out for its attractive waterside location. The restaurant forms part of The Promenade – a dining destination at Park Hyatt, Dubai Creek. Perched alongside the marina, overlooking the boats and the creek beyond, the restaurant has recently undergone a refurbishment and renovation. Apart from the outstanding views, the restaurant’s attractions now include a more interactive layout and a new F&B concept that is focused on light bites, ideal for sharing.
A homely beach theme runs through the interior design, reminiscent of summertime vacations in the Hamptons or New England. An eclectic blend of elements has been layered into the space to make it both relaxed and inviting. Painted timber works as a calming backdrop for the bright cushions that sit atop loose cover sofas and cane chairs. Pulley rope lights and colonial fans are suspended from the ceiling and individually framed art pieces adorn the walls.
The floors are treated with rustic timber-effect tiles, with a grey chevron pattern. These work as a striking contrast to the abundant plants that create a striking inviting, residential feel. Suspended brass and rope shelving above the central bar area holds treasures such as whalebones; binoculars; baskets; and other nautical objects. This area functions as a focus area, both visually and as a centre of activity.
White timber shutters create a loose divide between the indoor and outdoor areas, connecting the terrace and bringing the outside in. As part of the renovation, the terrace has been extended to cleverly maximise the striking waterfront views, whilst sheer curtains have been added to divide it into smaller, more intimate spaces. “The external verandah allowed us to make the space feel a lot bigger, and really created a connection between the interior style and the waterside location,” said Rachel Kidd, Lead Senior Designer, LW Dubai.
The outdoor area carries the beachside theme through its use of Adirondack reclining timber deck chairs and cane furniture, where lanterns and greenery are used to create a sense of privacy between tables. A lounge area with firepit has been installed to keep guests warm on cooler winter evenings.
Noépe was a collaborative project. Meraki & Modus created the concept and strategy, with interior design by LW Design and Aati Contracts looked after the fit-out requirements.
