About the project
The designer and creative director at studio 100, Piet De Koninch is the mastermind behind man of the creation around in Plopsa attractions and parks from the beginning. The design of Plopsa Hotel De Panne also comes out of his sleeves. He was inspired by the theme “musical and theatre” but he also took feasibility into the design.
The hotel features two bars and a restaurant where guests can meet and enjoy a drink. In the buffet restaurant Le Grand Buffet, there is an intimate and warm atmosphere thanks to the Rockfon Color-all® ceiling panels in Charcoal. It gives a cave feeling with integrated lighting giving the effect of a starry sky. The ceiling doesn’t only add to the atmosphere but also ensures a pleasant acoustics comfort to a busy place. This way everyone can enjoy a delicious dinner under the stars after a pleasant day in the amusement park.
