About the project
Poco Loco is a modern Latin American restaurant overlooking the shoreline at Meraas’ iconic development ‘The Beach’ at JBR. The restaurant is housed in a two-story space covering 8,000 square feet and has energetically vivid interiors and strong prints exclusively deigned by Harrison for Poco Loco, paying praise to the brand’s Aztec and Inca-enlivened social subjects.
The design is inspired from Aztec and Incan works of art and the open plan ‘Latin-Chic’ restaurant also features an open kitchen, rich textured layering, authentic salvaged timber materials, arched roofs, wood framed floors and a mocktail bar and cigar lounge. It is an impactful space created to complement the South American dishes of the renowned executive chef Neil Whitney.
Plafond was contracted for the Fit out and full MEP including MEP design for this venture.
