About the project
Designed and built by Swiss Bureau, the client’s brief was to design a creative office space that had a bold impact and reflected the clients persona through all elements of the space. Being young, hip and vibrant but also professional, corporate and big players in the market, the team decided to showcase this with a concept based on contrasting personality traits that seemed to harmonize so well.
In order for the space to function effectively, they needed lots of collaborative spaces and creative zones to let their imaginations flow. SBID interpreted the theme of contrast and harmony into the architecture through a concept called `Urban and Jungle’. The urban concept aims to display the building materials that many try to conceal. By adding a raw, unfinished look to the most thoughtfully designed spaces, and selecting pieces that are as much about function as style, this design style celebrates engineering and mechanical ingenuity. It offers an interesting opportunity to juxtapose the raw with the refines, and the sleek and modern with the vintage and classic. As for the jungle concept, the team incorporated a biophilic design within the architecture of the space.
