About the project
The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Group announced the debut of The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Hamra Beach Resort, the second luxury resort for The Ritz-Carlton brand in Ras Al Khaimah. Edging the Arabian Gulf, this luxury beach-front pool villa resort offers sumptuous seclusion along the shimmering azure waters and pristine white sands. Privacy with 5-star hotel amenities is what this coastal haven promises, along with distinctive dining and ocean-inspired wellness experiences.
Formerly, known as the Banyan Tree Hotel, the rebranding and refurbishment of the project involved the complete refurbishment of 32 luxurious tented villas, each with its own pool and direct beach access. The project also involved the transformation of all the units, including the clubhouse and the common areas. Following a scenic boat arrival experience to the resort, guests can enjoy an infinity pool, a seafood restaurant overlooking the Arabian Gulf and a luxurious spa that offers holistic treatments.
Inspired by Arabic architecture, the tented villas blend naturally in the landscape and offer spacious and modern interiors with a Mediterranean touch. Interiors include tones of blue and white, marine-inspired décor elements and floor-to-ceiling windows to let the lights to flood in. A private patio with infinity pool opens directly to the beachfront and allows for a unique pool-deck dining experience.
To provide an energizing workout experience for guests, the facility also includes a dual-space gym. The resort also offers a myriad of activities such as snorkelling, kayak, stand-up paddling and beach volleyball, besides providing facilities for motorized watersports and local excursions. The resort’s signature Ritz Kids programme also includes a selection of fun and educative activities with a focus on marine life discovery and environmental awareness.
