About the project
St Urban was designed by House of Form, to be reminiscent of a French brasserie with delicate softness and a feminine touch. The restaurant has many design elements that create layers, interest, and continuity. From the floral light fixtures to the custom Form Paper wallpaper and the whitewashed ceiling, the space feels both worldly and modern.
Diving deeper into the design, the team was tasked with playing with contrast. The lower concept, The Neighborly, is the perfect balance to St Urban, showcasing deeper tones. The custom wallpaper was designed by our internal team in partnership with Form Paper Co. The light fixtures above each booth is a floral motif, allowing for continuity. We chose to keep the wood ceilings for depth, but white washing them draws the eyes up, creating a softness for the colorful millwork below.
