About the project
The Artisan is an Italian restaurant on the fifth level of the Burj Daman Tower in the DIFC, Dubai.
Designed by Dubai-based design firm H2R Design, the interiors achieve a balance between classic, tastefully elegant decor and confident, modern design, matching the artisanal craftsmanship of the food served that aspires to live up to the standard of it’s three Michelin star Florence-based parent restaurant, Enoteca Pinchiorri.
The interiors reflect a nod to the restaurant’s Italian heritage, but with a modern twist to suit it’s new Dubai context. Fitted with grey-blue paneled walls, a dazzling deco-inspired bar, industrial style domed lamps with etched intricate patterns, velvet elegant seating, polished parquet floor, and local artwork that adds splashes of color adorned in gold frames, the restaurant is a work of art! Even the washrooms shimmer and sparkle delightfully with rare, locally sourced, emerald vein marble.
The headliner, however, has to be the extraordinarily intricate Murano glass lighting fixture made of over 150 iris flower shapes that twist and twirl suspended in mid-air.
The restaurant was contracted by then AMBB, who have since rebranded themselves as Bowyer Wick Interiors and was opened in 2016.
