The Loft Restaurant, Kuwait

Located in the heart of Kuwait, The Loft restaurant and cafe’s prominent location makes it easily visible from the mall as well as the street. The client’s primary request was to provide a welcoming space where people from all over the city can come in to enjoy a meal, complemented with a fine cup of freshly roasted and brewed coffee. Babnimnim Design Studio did a phenomenal job of the interiors, creating a rich, deep coloured interior with wonderful textures and linear elements. The lighting concept of this restaurant was inspired by their signature dessert, the Affogato, where hot espresso is poured over ice cream, creating veins of coffee spilling over. This melting movement is realised in the form of custom made steel structures that carry glass tubes to illuminate the space.
