About the project
Torno Subito, the latest addition to the W Hotel on the Palm, is such a visual representation of pure fun!
Three-star Michelin chef, Massimo Bottura, wanted the interiors to replicate beachside days reminiscent of Rimini’s coastal playground of the fifties and sixties. In short, fun-filled days indulging in amazing food, drink and ultimate relaxation.
Bishop Design created the space with an eclectic brush. With crazy colour infusions and a beachside terrace, Torno Subito is an explosion of beautiful reminiscence. Pastel tones are complimented with a bold mélange of colour, contrasting against a monochromatic floor, which then blends seamlessly into unique, three-dimensional agitated sand print flooring. Suspended from the ceiling is an array of black and white Polaroid photos from the sixties, some from Fellini films and others from Massimo’s personal collection of nostalgic Italian summers. Animated graphic stamped ceiling panels float in irregular lines, representing canopies in old Italian food market tents that Massimo has been visiting since he was a child. The furniture is eclectic, thoughtfully developed and sought from the design classics of Paola Lenti.
