About the project
The concept was to create a wine and sales space, with a circumferential form that is reflected in the shape of the wooden barrels visible inside the cellars, as well as the bottles in the antique vaulted ones. The juxtaposition of these curved lines in transversal and longitudinal direction also create the counter, tasting table and exhibition/sales space.
This chain of curves forms a series of arches that form the vaults. and can be perceived as a sequence of wooden ribs. Finally, to complete the space, three main materials worked in harmony – wood for the ‘ribs’ system as the barrels, stone for the floor as the antique cellars, and the mirror material, which creates an atmospheric world of ripples and reflections . This project received the A’Design Platinum 2018 Award for the best interior space and the EuroShop Retail Design 2018 Award.
