About the project
We Work Hub’s Dubai centre is an open and agile work environment. The look and feel is heavily influenced by We Work’s design standards with open ceilings, timber flooring and sisal carpets throughout. Splashes of colour are introduced in communal areas influenced by local art and locally produced materials.
One of We Work’s essential requirements was the ability to change internal layouts to suit their client’s requirements without damaging the fit-out. This meant anticipating future layouts and providing necessary provisions, as well as some tricky construction detailing, like running the timber floor throughout the space, with the glass partitions and sisal carpets laid on top of the timber floor, thus allowing changes to the partitions and rooms with minimal impact. The project involved a vast amount of large and intricate bespoke joinery items, like community bars and library rooms that required great care and attention to detail. The overall atmosphere created in the end is one of a warm and welcoming living space that would make the user feel instantly comfortable and at ease.
