Just as the Bauhaus placed culture and technology at the basis of design reasoning, so too GT01, designed by Gio Tirotto, is articulated through precise thematic layers.

First and foremost is a careful search for materials, such as aluminium and multilayer wood in oak finish, which can be easily disassembled and therefore totally recyclable, as well as restored over time.

The natural or painted sled frame, with its square and clear yet elegant shapes, frames simple and ergonomic multilayer panels, thanks to the curvatures that accommodate the seat. The style it is inspired by is post-industrial, also highlighted by the absence of visible fixings and the presence of marked welds, making GT01 minimalist and extremely clean-cut in form.

The rational approach of the design delineates a universal and versatile silhouette, making the chair suitable for domestic and office environments, whether private or public spaces, and its extreme stackability confirms this. The negligible weight, given by the use of aluminium for the structure, enhances its manageability and facilitates transport, without affecting its stability.

Everything that is function is skilfully mixed by subtraction in GT01, making this chair light, minimalist and sinuous, with the ambition to describe a ‘timeless’ design.
