Big Hug is an impressive easy chair for both homes and public lounges. It is the winner of the Finland 100 Furniture Design Competition in 2017. As the name implies, Big Hug is an open armchair for a comfortable stay that hugs its user. The armrests of the chair also provide a sheltered place for a moments of rest or work.
“I wanted to create an easy chair that would be as comfortable as possible and inviting thanks to its openness.” – Designer Mika Tolvanen.
Big Hug is completely upholstered. The seat frame is made of thermoformable Grada wood material. The legs are made of wood. Also chrome-plated or painted steel pipe legs are available.
