Artemide at Dubai Design Week 2021

This year, Artemide will participate to the Dubai Design Week with a completely renovated showroom in the d3, a site-specific installation at the entrance of Downtown Design Dubai, and a booth at Cityscape in partnership with KEO within the Expo 2020.

Artemide showroom

Artemide has a steady, consolidated presence in Dubai with a showroom and an office that are skill hubs and reference points for architects and lighting designers in the area. During the 2021 edition  of the Dubai Design Week, Artemide will open its completely renovated showroom in the city’s  Design District, in building 6 A307. Here, visitors will be able to see the latest collections, the result  of the application of innovative technologies and of partnerships with major international  architectural firms.

The showroom is a place to experience the interaction between light and the new intelligent  management system, the Artemide App.

Thru, the Installation at the Entrance of Downtown Design Dubai

From the 8th to the 12th of November, Artemide will be the protagonist of the entrance to the Downtown Design Dubai fair with Thru, a multi-sensory interactive installation designed by Dubai based architecture and interior design practice NIU Studio. Visitors who can interact with the architectural, natural and artistic elements of the installation can enjoy this urban piece of land art both visually and physically.

Artemide’s light designs guide the visitor towards the entrance, creating a space in which they can engage with nature. Thru is a scenographic and sustainable light installation in which innovative technologies translate into emotions, beauty and occasions for interaction.

Irupè by Fratelli Campana and Gople Outdoor by BIG create a soft atmosphere in the path throughout the installation; La Linea by BIG runs into the selfie area where it interacts with a colourful artistic mosaic; Antarktikos by Carlotta de Bevilacqua highlights the entrance’s architecture.

Artemide’s Integralis allows us to start living common areas again thanks to its innovative technology; and Discovery is the protagonist of an optical graphics experience area: the suspension lamps, designed by Artemide’s founder Ernesto Gismondi, are the perfect expression of the company’s values and expertise, and, with the Integralis technology, help create a safe space.

On Tuesday 9 November at 6.30pm, Thru will be the stage of a talk with its creators. Artemide’s President and CEO Carlotta de Bevilacqua will be joined in a conversation with NIU Studio’s architects Giorgio Palermo and Elena Gregorutti and Fantini Mosaici’s Managing Director Lorenzo Lotesto to discuss sustainability, innovation, and the rediscovery of the relationship between people and space.

CITYSCAPE AT EXPO 2020

Artemide teams up with KEO, lighting its Cityscape 2021 booth at Expo 2020. Alphabet of Light and the professional A.24 system with Vector Spot complement KEO’s project with the ideal lighting.
