Consort Celebrate Best in Class at Guild of Architectural Ironmongers (GAI) Education Awards

Consort Architectural Hardware is proud to attend the 42nd Guild of Architectural Ironmongers (GAI) Education Awards, in celebration of five team members who will collect GAI Diploma certificates.

Taking place on Thursday 17th November at The Oval, London, the awards commend the exceptional educational achievements of architectural ironmongery professionals and are a highlight in the industry’s event calendar. The GAI Education programme is the only internationally recognised curriculum leading to qualifications in architectural ironmongery in British and European standards.

Jixon George, Lenny Christie, Sushmita Karkee, Ruth Banta, and Muzaffar Hussain of Consort are amongst this year’s class of architectural ironmongery professionals who have passed the final examination and will be awarded the revered Guild of Architectural Ironmongers Diploma (DipGAI) at this year’s event.

Ruth Banta and Muzaffar Hussain also celebrate prodigious personal achievements after both placing in the top three performers amongst 100’s of students. Commenting on their outstanding educational achievements, David Gray continued:

Accredited Author Bio, David Gray - Director
David entered the industry as an apprentice locksmith and safe engineer, and with this, has  brought a valuable technical perspective towards achieving optimal functionality and performance.
As an integral part of Consort’s ambitious quality programme, David works closely with Director - Daniel May, to ensure Consort’s extensive product range complies with the relevant industry standards and undergoes rigorous testing in order to achieve certification.
Most recently, David has been focused on US certifications and has developed several ANSI/BHMA compliant ranges to support business growth within the region. In his role as Director, David has also taken specification and project support to the next level, supporting architects and designers with project specifications and introducing computer-based systems to drive more efficient project management. David is qualified as an Architectural Hardware Consultant (AHC), Diploma of Architectural Ironmongery (DipGAI), and registered Ironmonger (RegAI).
