CREVALO x PUNT MOBLES, Designed by Odosdesign

This year Punt wanted to go further in our commitment by supporting such an innovative project as CREAVALO. A new firm with a strong environmental conscience that arises with the purpose of providing a solution to the great problem of waste in the textile industry. The amount of waste in this sector is so great that it corresponds to a full truckload per second, which generates climatic and social consequences of great impact.

Joan Gisbert, its founder, has worked with the Odosdesign studio to develop a collection of small and medium-sized objects made from waste materials from sheets, microfibres and automotive upholstery, which are shredded, compacted and treated with between 10 and 15% binder.

“This depends on the parts, because the important thing is that the resulting product can be reprocessed into new parts because it contains little binder. In this way, they comply with the idea of being recycled and recyclable products,” says Gisbert.

“We are going to include this collection in our catalogue because we loved the concept and also the design. We have decided to highlight it and launch it at the next Salone del Mobile in Milan”.

The Nuvol collection, comprising a vase, tray, small table, stool and acoustic panel, is proof that textile waste is not waste but raw material waiting to be reused. A proposal whose objective is summarised in promoting circularity by creating value thread by thread.
