Effortlessly Move from One Colour Space to the Next to Creatively Customise the Floorplane with Wireframe

March 2021

Wireframe from Milliken: created to be arranged and rearranged, positioned and repositioned, shuffled and reshuffled, mixed and matched, pattern paired or colour clashed

Milliken’s latest carpet tile collection ‘Wireframe’ has been designed to encourage experimentation and individuality. It was also created with ease of use in mind – both aesthetically and economically – with an accessible price point. There are countless ways Wireframe can be used, including to effortlessly transition from one colour to the next organically, with no hard lines.

Milliken’s creative team produced Wireframe with the needs of designers in mind. Alison Kitchingman, Director of Marketing and Design explains: “We appreciate that in these challenging times many designers are fully stretched and don’t necessarily have the time or head-space to commission a bespoke floor. However, they still want to create dazzling and unique flooring designs for their clients. So, we set about to create a collection which can be applied in countless ways with the scope to create a unique floorplane every time.”

This latest collection is designed and made in the UK using Milliken’s patented Millitron® digital printing technology in a 50cm x 50cm cushion backed tile format. The colour range is subtle and expressive and can be used in tantalising combinations to create dimension and movement which, when combined with the pattern effects, can effortlessly define the floorscape.

Wireframe is precise yet simple with a clean fractured matrix design. There are two designs in the collection: ‘Wireframe’ (multi-tile designs composed of seven individual pattern elements to create one single design) and ‘Wireframe Expressions’ (made up of eleven individual pattern elements). The colours range from classic greys through to warm browns and rich coppers making possible as bright or as neutral effect as required. Orders are shipped as a randomised assortment of all elements to create a different look every time. Wireframe carpet tiles are available for delivery within ten days of ordering.

To assist and support customers who may not be able to view real-life samples, an interactive brochure showing over 70 colour and design layout ideas has been created by Milliken. Wireframe is also available to try out in different colours, patterns and room settings on Milliken’s ‘My Room’ online visualisation tool, allowing clients to upload their own space and view Wireframe in situ.

Wireframe is made using tufted, level loop pile construction. It comes with Comfort Lite backing as standard (90% recycled content) and is available with TractionBack® adhesive free installation system on request. Wireframe carpet tiles are manufactured in the UK in a ISO14001 certified location using renewable sources. The collection is CRI Green Label Plus certified for indoor air quality, EPD verified and TUV certified. Wireframe comes with a 12 year wear guarantee and a lifetime antistatic guarantee.
