The upcoming edition of the Festival of Architecture and Interior Design (FOAID) is set to commemorate 10 years of design brilliance. FOAID has emerged as the premier platform to unite the design discourse, showcasing a multiplicity of voices and forms of expression through its diverse exhibits, discussions, debates, competitions, and awards. The Mumbai Edition is poised to captivate audiences at the coveted Jio World Convention Centre on the 18th and 19th of August, 2023.
The itinerary for the two-day grand festival encompasses immersive sessions of thought-provoking talks and discussions led by both national and international speakers. Attendees will have the exclusive opportunity to engage in thought-provoking discourses, and imaginative showcases by students and professionals, preview an enthralling range of global projects, and witness live design competitions.

The Design Manthan Conference in association with Classic Marble Company, is all set to witness a line-up of esteemed speakers featuring Steven Clem (TVS Design), Jordi Fauli (Barcelona), Sanjay Puri (Sanjay Puri Architects), Ambrish Arora (Studio Lotus), Anjali Mangalgiri (Grounded), Rajiv Parekh (reD Architects), Kunal Maniar (Kunal Maniar Associates), Ravi Vazirani (Ravi Vazirani Design Studio), Yatin Patel (DSP Design Associates), Zarir Aibara (Neterwala and Aibara Interior Architects), and Huzefa Rangwala (MuseLab) to name a few.
Amidst FOAID’s 20+ hours of captivating and astonishing presentations, panels, and debates, the Design Arena exhibition unfolds over 100+ gateways to a scintillating range of design projects, and experiences, all within a single venue. The mission for Design Arena revolves around establishing a strong platform for showcasing bespoke works by talented architects, artists and designers.
FOAID’s immersive exhibition unveils innovation through a showcase of 500+ state-of-the-art experiences from 40+ Indian and global architecture and design brands. Visionary designers and leading lighting brands are all set to ‘illuminate’ at the International Lighting Pavilion – Light First, while candid conversations at the Design Karyashala provide direct insights into architects’ creative processes.
Everlasting Visibility and Inspiration
Meanwhile, engaging the best in the business, the ICA Creative Minds Next Competition celebrates architectural ingenuity by featuring the ongoing and unbuilt projects of inspiring firms. The Merino Architecture Ideas Competition hunts for the gen-next designers and budding architects with a meticulous process of presentations by 60 remarkable semi-finalists evaluated live at FOAID by 70 eminent jurors.
With over 3000 imaginative minds united under one roof, FOAID orchestrates a symphony of inspiration and design excellence. The festival not only offers an immersive experience but also creates a space for students to partake in candid conversations at “UNCENSORED Straight from the Heart,” an exclusive session that provides unfiltered insights from celebrated architects. Adding an artistic flair to the festivities, FOAID’s ‘Expressions’ Art Installation Competition shines a spotlight on handmade and functional art, craft, and sculptures by talented students from architecture, interior, and design institutes across the nation.
FOAID in its 10th year, is proud to introduce Build India Vision in association with Ultratech.
