H2R Design Unveils Its Latest Project in Partnership with Majid Al Futtaim: Cle D’Or
Timeless elegance meets contemporary style at the new luxury VIP lounge, located in Mall of the Emirates
H2R has revealed its latest design, the uber-luxurious and exclusive Cle D’Or Lounge at Mall of the Emirates. Completed in November 2021 and located in the Fashion Dome of Mall of the Emirates, the project marks another successful collaboration between H2R Design and the Majid Al Futtaim Group, who are continuing to enhance and redefine Mall of the Emirates’ luxury shopping experience.
Open to a select number of elite guests and luxury shoppers, with access granted only Invitation only, Members of Cle D’Or can use the space for a myriad of different activities, which is reflected in the design experience of the lounge.
A multi-functional space that is fluid and transformational, Cle D’or will allow its members to lounge and exchange ideas over coffee, book in a pamper and dine experience for private functions, get invited to the pre-launch of the latest brand collections; and provides a check-in space to unwind after a long day of shopping. The lounge also has a mini-catering area, as well as a mini showcase for the latest in fashion to be showcased.

Such a grand destination as Cle D’or deserves a remarkable entrance, and so the main entry into the space features elegant black Marquina marble stone portals and custom pattern flooring, which leads from the reception through to the corridor, welcoming guests with grandeur and sophistication.
Once inside, the space has a sleek and serene atmosphere and has been curated with elegant furniture, a dining area and soft seating. Stylish furniture pieces are clustered together to create a chic and refined social hub, whilst the space is still flexible enough to allow the power players of the fashion industry to meet and exchange ideas in a comfortable setting.
Contemporary lighting and furniture have been handpicked from well-known brands famed for craftmanship and refinement, such as Michael Anastassiades’ pendant lighting, Porada lounge chairs with houndstooth in a noir brodie fabric finish and Natuzzi armchairs and sofas.
Sculpted accessory displays add creative accents, whilst architectural details such as linear lights in sharp black metal channels contrast against the white walls, to frame the entire space. The same effect is also expressed in the metal framing of the doors, with simple yet bold lines for a visually striking effect.
A prominent feature panel created using graphics introduces a touch of greenery into the space to add warmth and dimension, while the gallery wall with a mix of graphic and monochrome images in a grid-style format and matching black frames, completes the look.
In the washrooms, the vanity countertops and walls are adorned by beautiful Breccia Aurora Marble so that every detail is taken care of beautifully.
Cle D’Or is one of two luxury lounges which have recently launched in Mall of the Emirates, the other being The 9 – located in Mall of the Emirates, Kempinski Hotel. Both projects are a collaboration between Majid Al Futtaim and H2R Design.
The multi-purpose space also allows for private functions, previews and pre-launches of the latest brand collections, and pays homage to the latest trends in fashion and creativity.
