Spain Returns to the 10th Edition of Downtown Design With a National Pavilion

ICEX Spain Trade and Investment and the Embassy of Spain in the UAE organize a Spanish national pavilion at Downtown Design (9-12 November, Dubai Design District). “Interiors from Spain” brings together a selection of six design brands that highlight the country’s passion for creativity, sustainability, and craftsmanship.

Carefully hand-picked, the Spanish pavilion presents a selection of high-quality and innovative Spanish design brands across indoor and outdoor furniture, surfaces, rugs, clocks and accessories. Actiu, Böln, Nomon, Porcelanosa, Rols, and Vilagrasa represent an exciting mix of new and well-known brands to the Middle East, with a strong emphasis on recycled and sustainable materials.

In the last five years, the presence of Spanish design in the region has notably increased. Only in 2022, Actiu and Porcelanosa have opened their own showrooms in Dubai Design District, adding to a growing presence of brands “made in Spain” in the UAE.  To celebrate the strengthening of the Spanish ties in the region’s design community, the pavilion’s organizers have invited three influential Spaniards to discuss The Spanish Spin in the Middle East. Moderated by Love That Design, Juan Roldan, Associate Professor at AUS, Mohammed Adib, Chief Design Officer at Dewan Architects and Engineers, and Marta Gonzalez, Design Director at Accor, will share their views about how Spain is influencing the current Middle Eastern architecture and design landscape.

Audience can visit “Interiors from Spain” pavilion at Downtown Design, from the 9th to the12th of November at Dubai Design District, stand number B08. More info click here
