True Design’s Fender Collection reinvented by Italian Architect and industrial designer Francesco Favaretto with the magic of Kvadrat textiles!

For the upcoming Dubai Design Week, TRUE Design has chosen to present its Concept-Space in d3 as an homage to Italian “savoir faire”, to its first-class production capacity, and innovative ability. Francesco Favaretto, Creative Director of Studio Favaretto & Partners, has imagined the TRUE space – overlooking the heart of the city of Dubai – as a capsule collection of the Fender family, on this occasion entirely upholstered with Kvadrat fabrics.
The creative mind of a young and visionary designer, the work of a Company celebrating its 40th anniversary, and the high quality of Kvadrat fabrics have come together to create an unusual and flippant collection. The twenty fabrics chosen by Favaretto to emphasize the iconic rounded style of Fender – a family of upholstered sofas, armchairs, seating and lounge settees – all respond to the high standards of the Kvadrat production: resistance, sustainability, high comfort and design. The fabric becomes an instrument in the hands of the designer giving life to artistic interpretation of an industrial product, thus personalizing an object which is produced on a large scale.
Today the quality of production must go hand in hand with the exclusivity of the product.
The capsule collection presented by TRUE at the Dubai Design Week, opens a new frontier in its traditional production: providing limited and personalized editions. In the spirit which characterizes the Italian company, managed by three young brothers, the confrontation and collaboration of ideas in projects involving several actors, appears as a natural process.
