Warû, a New Design Firm Launches to Reshape the Interior & Architectural Landscape by Bringing the Region’s Nomadic Roots Into Its Modern Skyline

Mohammed Adib and Rasha Al Tekreeti launch Warû. An Interior Architecture and Strategic Design firm specializing in the design of hospitality ambiances and workspace experiences.

Warû, a word with Akkadian roots from ancient Mesopotamia meaning to guide/to lead the way. It’s a reflection of Iraqi heritage stemming from one of the oldest civilizations in the world.

The management team of Mohammed and Rasha bring 38 years of experience regionally and internationally and have collectively completed over 200+ projects worldwide. Their focus – to bring nature back into the everyday lives of urban dwellers. Warû is an interior architecture and strategic design firm that specializes in drawing inspiration from nature to create unique yet timeless spaces where experiences can be nurtured.

“Life is all about wondering and I personally have the soul of a nomad; when I am not designing, I am wandering outdoors to maintain my connection with nature and draw inspiration from it. You will either find me hiking mountains to observe nature, horse riding in the desert, or cycling around the city. We love to work on projects that combine both hospitality and workplace and blend them into hybrid spaces where travellers and locals can interact more, experiences are constantly evolving, and business opportunities are maximised.”

Rasha Al Tekreeti

Warû approaches every project with the special attention it deserves. Taking the customer on a discovery journey to explore their brand or business to develop unique strategic ideas that result in tangible experiences. Nomadic spaces can present themselves in hotels, a business centre, or a hub where connections are nurtured and experiences are remembered forever.

“My international education and experience has formed me into the cultural essence of Warû, I am an avid cyclist and explorer, having ridden motorcycles over 250,000 KM across 5 continents exploring cultures and landscapes that inspire and bring out the nomad in my heart through my designs”.
