The Viennese design studio’s work for international companies encompasses projects related to transportation, furniture and product and packaging design.

The trained industrial designer’s sophisticated know-how when it comes to product development comes from his years with Philips Design. Numerous international awards provide a clear demonstration of Johannes Scherr’s professionalism and innovative spirit. This has been further proven by, among other things, his creative research on new materials and production methods.

After completing his studies in industrial design at the University of Applied Sciences in Graz, starting in 2000 Johannes Scherr designed for companies such as Philips Design Eindhoven, Almdudler, Rauch Fruchtsäfte and Red Bull. He has worked for Bene since the end of that same year. Between 2002 and 2008, Scherr worked with Stephan Breier as “Element Design”. He founded his own studio, “Johannes Scherr Design”, in autumn 2008. From autumn 2009 until summer 2011, Scherr led the design department at Benelli Watercraft in Pesaro, Italy.

The designer has also been active as a lecturer at a number of universities since 2006. His streamlined, functional designs have been the recipients of the Red Dot and the Swiss Star Designpreis 2003 awards, among others.
