Contemporary Art Collection Featuring Apartment, Moscow

New project by interior designer Andrey Agamirov is a stunning apartment that beautifully showcases the owner’s love for modern art. From the very beginning, the designer and the client, a young woman, shared a deep understanding, creating a comfortable collaboration.

The client’s desire for a light and easily perceptible space, after previously having a dark-toned interior, served as the inspiration for the design concept. Starting with her personal collection of paintings and a captivating rubber sculpture by Samuel Salcedo, embodying frozen emotions, Andrey Agamirov crafted a space that showcases these remarkable pieces.

To optimize the owner’s daily tasks, the apartment is thoughtfully divided into shared and private zones. The shared area includes a welcoming hallway, a guest bathroom, and a combined kitchen-living room, while the private area encompasses a cozy bedroom and a luxury master bathroom, accessible through a stylish wardrobe.

Throughout the interior, the Russian product designers’ extensive work is on display, with all the built-in furniture was custom-made to perfection. For the flooring, a rough-textured plank reminiscent of vintage material was chosen, adding a touch of timeless elegance. In the kitchen, metallic elements were artfully incorporated into the design, enhancing the minimalist aesthetic and providing a captivating contrast of textures. The bathroom boasts ceramic panel lining, seamlessly matching the monochromatic wall color to visually expand the limited space.

“I carefully select color palettes that accentuate the main idea behind the interior while reflecting the client’s unique lifestyle”, the author of the project explains. In this project, the light tones create a sublime backdrop, perfectly highlighting the unconventional beauty of the contemporary art collection.

One of the designer’s favorite techniques is adding radius cornices, which elegantly blur the boundary between the wall and the ceiling. This clever design choice can be seen in the double doors that lead to a magnificent suite, consisting of a bedroom, dressing room, and bathroom. By incorporating these graceful radius cornices and smoothed angles, Andrey Agamirov successfully transforms the perception of the room’s volume, eliminating any sense of emptiness and enhancing the overall spatial experience.

The living room, undoubtedly one of the most vibrant spaces in this apartment, holds a special place in the author’s concept. It is not only a place for welcoming guests but also a cherished sanctuary for moments of solitude. Therefore, Andrey Agamirov meticulously planned the layout, ensuring harmony and comfort are at the forefront of the design, creating a welcoming atmosphere for both social gatherings and moments of relaxation.
