Hartela Head Office, Helsinki

Gullstén-Inkinen has been involved in the spatial design of the Hartela activity-based office and the development of the entire Ilmalan Asema property since the inception of the project. The design of the building was based on a large floor area, with the aim of creating a unified and consistent space that could accommodate the entire organization on a single floor. This has resulted in all 70 employees now working on one floor, as opposed to being separated into several sections. The entrance lounge has become the new focal point of the office, serving as a café and a meeting place. Hartela, a local Finnish construction company, places great value on home style and human scale, which are also effectively communicated through the design of their new premises.
