HENRY'S Restaurants by Columbia, Nicosia

Henry’s is an all-day fine dining restaurant located in central Nicosia. With its chic and relaxed atmosphere, it can host a total of 161 people both indoor and outdoor. Makariou Avenue area reopened in 2022, transforming into a pedestrian-friendly space where people can enjoy shopping and dining. The goal was to open a new contemporary brasserie-style venue, offering the highest quality interior design, food, and service that leaves a lasting impression.

The rich materials and attention to detail by EKKY STUDIO architects, combined with cozy corners around a fireplace, create a sense of homely comfort. The open plan kitchen is framed by the elongated furniture in the foreground, activating welcomed interaction with the guests. Centrally located sofas form a geometric composition, delineating the space and giving the feeling of a contemporary brasserie. Mirrors and reflective materials visually enlarge the space, while carefully selected materials and decorative lights create a cozy atmosphere at each table. Hidden technical lighting animates the space and adds a sense of drama.

The sculptural floating entrance canopy has a bold street presence and the prominent signage of the restaurant name above it introduces its strong brand identity. An open facade frames the view into the restaurant’s interior. Branding played an essential role in creating an integrated sense of place and memorable character . Covering the floor down to the tableware, the specially designed graphic language tells a story that sets the place apart as a landmark venue. Henry’s has quickly become a new favorite, drawing diners back again and again.”
