About the project
Taking as a frame a building that is Heritage of the City of Guadalajara, is Gala, a boutique hotel with 8 rooms. Respecting the architecture and essence of the place, we create a concept for each room and manufacture furniture 100% tailored to each space combining materials such as wood in colors, leathers, marble and brass to express an elegance that combines the details of the traditional with the contemporary.
The challenge in this project was to create a modern and contemporary environment respecting the restrictions that a building that is Heritage of the City, which implied that we had limitations to groove, put electrical installations, modify any detail of the façade and drill or place new walls.
The advantage was that the same property already has so much history and so much glamour implicit in itself (for the same location where it is located, within the America(colony) that it was a great honor to be able to make this project within a building that has so much to offer.
As expected, the architecture of the place played a very important role in this project and the concept of interiors was created around it, trying to rescue the glamour and the traditional GALA of its glory years and incorporating it into the current era.”
