About the project

Bar Rocco is in Mexico City. The intervention focused on the partial remodeling of a space that had the function of warehouse, the requirement of the clients was a multifunctional recreational space with playful living room, TV room and space for social events.

The style arises from the fusion between the minimalism existing within the house where the project is located, as well as facets of the exalted Baroque style, both styles are opposite to each other, while minimalism consists of stripping all the ornaments until leaving the essential qualities, the Baroque has as protagonist the decorations which becomes more and more elaborate, reaching certain doses of extravagance. The balanced combination of both styles achieves the warmth of the environment.

The interior design proposal is focused on multifunctional and innovative design, seeking a dialogue with the existing, without leaving aside the originality and warmth that invites its users to live together and create memorable memories. The use of wood as the main material, the application of wallpaper on the walls and the design of lighting with indirect warm light on the ceiling and the bar furniture provoke a cozy atmosphere throughout the place.

Elements and accessories such as rosettes in lamps, cornices, borders, and Baroque-style artwork were added to complement the space.
