Switchback House, California

San Francisco-based design, development, and architecture firm Edmonds + Lee Architects is internationally known for its modern approach to homes and living. The Switchback House, designed by partners Robert Edmonds and Vivian Lee for themselves and their two children, explores light, space, surface, material and the endless possibilities of form. Edmonds and Lee chose AXOR for the Switchback House. They equipped the bathrooms with faucets from the AXOR Uno collection. Designed by Phoenix Design, AXOR Uno represents the ethos of the purist: simplicity, reduction to the essentials and self-explanatory functions. “They are simply a perfect reflection of a faucet—nothing more, nothing less,”” says Edmonds of the collection. When it came to furnishing the kitchen, Edmonds and Lee opted for Philippe Starck’s elemental AXOR Starck collection. All three collections, Edmonds says, “fit together perfectly.”
