WATG are delighted to introduce you to the visionary interior design of the Chedi Katara Hotel & Resort, an exquisite jewel nestled in the heart of the vibrant Katara Cultural Village in Doha, Qatar. Our esteemed interior designer has meticulously curated spaces that redefine opulence and set a new standard for hospitality.

The Chedi Katara pays homage to Qatar’s rich heritage while embracing modernity. Guests will be captivated by the seamless blend of traditional Qatari elements with cutting-edge design, creating an ambience that is both inviting and awe-inspiring.

Every room and suite at Chedi Katara exudes an air of indulgence. From bespoke furnishings to sumptuous fabrics, no detail has been overlooked in ensuring the utmost comfort for our discerning guests.

Meticulously crafted furnishings and bespoke art pieces sourced from local artisans grace the interiors, adding a touch of authenticity and supporting the local creative community.

The interiors are designed to frame the breathtaking vistas of the Doha skyline, offering guests an unparalleled visual feast that seamlessly merges with the luxurious ambiance.

Environmental consciousness is at the heart of our design philosophy. Chedi Katara incorporates sustainable materials and energy-efficient solutions, demonstrating our commitment to responsible luxury.

The restaurants and lounges within the hotel boast unique, thoughtfully designed spaces that enhance the dining experience. From intimate alcoves to open, airy spaces, guests will find a setting to suit every occasion.

The latest in smart technology is seamlessly integrated into the design, ensuring that guests have access to modern conveniences while still immersing themselves in an atmosphere of luxury and refinement.

Capsule Arts were commissioned to bring to life the design and build of the space, as well as provide stunning artwork and accessories that matched the magnificence and grandeur of the hotel. The overall theme was to be centered around the Ottoman influences from architecture through to art and culture.

Following a successful research trip to India to identify potential suppliers and artists, designers focused on the use of bespoke marble inlay, marble carving and thikri artworks throughout the space, as well as metal works, decorative ceramics and authentic antiques. Artworks and wooden panels featuring intricate botanical patterns, Ottoman hunting scenes, peacocks perched on branches and mosaic ‘Pietra dura’ were also placed throughout the tea lounge, all-day dining area and washrooms to tie in with the narrative. Large-scale artworks and installations that created a playful reflection of light were also commissioned by artists to work within the interior aesthetics of the space, keeping the overall look elegant, refined and fresh.
