About the project
Urban 29 was a Design Forward project, which is the pro-bono division of Studio BV. Design Forward helps nonprofit organizations find solutions that will maximize their physical environment to help transform their organization and deepen their impact in the community. Unfortunately, the Minneapolis Urban 29 location on Lake Street was destroyed during the social unrest after the murder of George Floyd that caused major destruction to many areas in Minneapolis. This women and black owned business fought hard to get into this new space and the new location was two years in the making.
