About the project
Wanwei Roast Duck & Beijing Cuisine, a collaboration between Wanwei and IN.X, aimed to elevate its brand image, making the restaurant at Wangfujing Department Store a vessel for memories with a contemporary sensibility and spiritual essence. Balancing warmth and coolness, passion and precision, the space intertwines Chengdu’s inclusive spirit with Beijing’s urban backdrop, creating a harmonious blend of modernity and tradition. The design pays homage to cultural significance with ancient wooden beams alongside contemporary structures, incorporating metallic materials for a modern touch. The improved Ming-style dining chairs seamlessly inherit the space’s blended characteristics, enriching its cultural inclusiveness.
The design strategy focuses on aligning the space with the brand’s DNA, connecting tradition with contemporary trends to resonate with target diners. By creating an inseparable impression complex of space and food, the restaurant adapts to market changes while maintaining its unique attributes, enhancing market awareness and establishing an effective brand image.
