Established in 2014, Saniya Kantawala Designs is a multifaceted, interdisciplinary design studio that has managed to make a niche for itself in India’s design industry within a brief span of five years. Through unique designs and a versatile portfolio that includes hospitality, commercial, residential and retail, they have created dynamic design solutions for a number of boutique hotels and high-end retail outlets across India.
Spearheaded by lead designer Saniya Kantawala, the firm believes in exploring limitless design possibilities and tends to break away from conventional notions and philosophies. With a small team of 6 designers that are driven, creative and work to meet professional commitments, SKD focuses on the uniqueness of aesthetics in every project. The firm strives to complete large projects across diverse domains in Mumbai, Delhi and upcoming tier-two cities.
SKD recognizes the possibilities of sustainable living and tries to incorporate and implement them in their work—an effort to innovate and educate. They are keen towards the idea of working on a public space and transform the quality of lifestyle. In a constant endeavour to grow and expand, the firm is in the process of setting up base in Dubai and is currently developing designs for a residence in New York. Moving forward with the ideology that the “mind is a gifted tool with various layers of visions, so why stick to one?”, Saniya Kantawala has spearheaded a diverse range of projects that include high-end retail outlets to boutique hotels.
