Andreu World Presents The Circular Design® Challenge: A Transformative Initiative Towards A Circular Economy

Andreu World launched the Circular Design® Challenge, a call to the entire industry, under the slogan “Manufacturing a better world”, at its showroom in Madrid within the framework of the Madrid Design Festival 2024. This challenge seeks to address the urgent need for a new vision in design, manufacturing and distribution that is more sustainable on a global scale. It is a call to adopt practices such as eco-design, zero waste management and having a carbon neutral footprint, selection of sustainable materials and adherence to certifications such as B Corp, Level 3, Cradle to Cradle and Greenhealth Approved.

This collaboration between Andreu World and the Madrid Design Festival reflects a shared belief in the importance of a collective shift towards more responsible and environmentally friendly practices, seeking to inspire the adoption of greener approaches in the industry and encouraging innovation and progress towards a positive impact on the planet.

Jesús Llinares, CEO of Andreu World, commented that “it is not enough for a single company to make a commitment; we need the collaboration of the entire industry. This commitment must be transparent and open, sharing all advances as an open source to learn from each other. We want to bring about a change in the industry and its suppliers, driving a supportive race to more sustainable manufacturing processes and higher quality products”.

Álvaro Matías, director of the Madrid Design Festival, commented that “Andreu World is an example of quality and commitment to sustainability. We at the festival, we invite all companies and organizations to join this challenge, in which we are all involved and have the responsibility to contribute to a better world for future generations”.

At this event which was held in the Andreu World showroom in Madrid (C/ Velázquez 26, 1st left), the latest seating and table collections by leading international designers such as Patricia Urquiola, Philippe Starck, Alfredo Häberli and Benjamin Hubert were also presented.
