Connect Table: A Multi-Purpose, Adaptable Table System

New collection designed for hybrid, multifunctional workplaces

Practical, transformable, space-saving. Andreu World, in collaboration with Gensler as product design consultant, launches Connect, a collection of convertible, mobile tables, to furnish hybrid, dynamic and multipurpose spaces. The clean, agile design of the Connect table responds to workplaces, schools, and other hybrid commercial settings in constant transformation with multi-use office and that support meetings, trainings, or focused work at any given time. They can be used individually or joined together as needed to in a variety of configurations.

“Workspaces and educational spaces need flexible tables, easy to store or stack and highly functional to be able to configure different floor layouts quickly and easily with agile changes between training sessions, group meetings or videoconferences. For this purpose, Connect is born, an intelligent system with multimedia connection and power supply, robust, versatile and pragmatic”, explains Jesús Llinares, CEO of Andreu World.

The Connect table takes the basic folding table concept one step further, offering a seamless design, total connectivity, and high-quality manufacturing details in a perfect balance between function and form.

“Today’s offices and institutions are being reimagined around choice and flexibility, now the cornerstones of the working and learning experience,” says Yishio Kuo, Design Director, Gensler. “As a result, the Connect table collection is designed to fulfill all manner of working needs quickly and effortlessly, as well as fit any kind of  space to help facilitate communication.” 

A Focus on Functionality and Use

The Connect tables are user friendly and movable, thanks to specially-designed casters. It is also easy to rotate and fold 90 degrees which allows for quick and space-saving storage. Connect also offers full connectivity with an integrated power supply.

The tables can be outfitted with a range of accessories from wiring channels to attachment kits. They also feature a corner top that provides several ways to join the tables together for multiple groupings. The modern, yet simplistic  design also offers a wide range of pairing opportunities with a number of Andreu World seating solutions.

“Our approach to the design was very much about a purposeful simplicity, and the benefit is twofold. In looking at the portfolio of Andreu World, we wanted to create a solution that would not only blend with the current family of products, but also put forward an offering that could stand the test of time and last for years to come,” notes Daniel Stromborg, Design Director, Gensler.

Thoughtful Selection of Materials  

Connect tables are made with an aluminum frame, crafted from 100 percent  recycled and recyclable aluminum, for maximum lightness. The Connect table comes in a wide range of sizes, with five different lengths and three different widths. The tabletops, which come in a range of finishes to create many design solutions, are available in melamine, 100% FSC® certified oak wood -from reforested forests and with the Chain of Custody from the tree to the product- or ultra-matte laminate, and the aluminum frame comes in black, white, or polished aluminum finish.

The Connect collection meets the most stringent international standards and certifications, including ISO, ANSI BIFMA and LEVEL.
