KEUCO Sets Strong Accents in The Bathrooms of The New Hotel LUC Berlin
In Berlin’s best location, with a view of the French Cathedral on the Gendarmen Market, the Hotel LUC has opened its doors. Not only was the name taken up, but, looking at Prussian history, it is known that the French philosopher Voltaire affectionately called his friend Friedrich II by the name of “Luc”.
The interior design of the boutique hotel, by designer Oana Rosen, also interprets the past with a contemporary mix of styles: geometric clarity in noble-looking colour tones, with cosy interiors and spacious marble bathrooms equipped with KEUCO fittings, accessories and cosmetic mirrors in brushed black chrome. The combination of black accents on the walls in light colours appears particularly powerful and noble.
All of the 70 rooms and 22 suites all take up the concept of this very straightforwardness, paired with noble elements and historical charm. In the Boutique Hotel Luc, an elegant world opens up in deep Prussian blue and soft natural colours in the bedrooms and living room areas. The bathrooms show a modern contrast in a black and white colour scheme. The finishes of the fittings at the washbasin and in the shower, the illuminated cosmetic mirrors as well as the accessories in brushed black chrome are produced using a PVD coating process. This guarantees an extremely insensitive surface with a rich colour tone and a very high degree of hardness. A big advantage, especially when used in hotels.
EDITION 400 fittings at the washbasin are a real design statement. The round design, combined with a countertop washbasin, is a beautiful sight. A cosmetic mirror is always an important accessory in the hotel. The iLook_move cosmetic mirror by KEUCO proves itself with its solid wall mounting and special hinge technology. Thanks to the illumination and a five-fold magnification, small blemishes do not go undetected.
IXMO fittings in the shower offer guests a real shower experience. Thanks to innovative KEUCO technology, the minimalist design of the shower elements can combine several functions in the smallest space. A choice can be made between a large overhead shower and a handshower with a 2-way shut-off and diverter valve. The hose connection and shower holder are both combined in one fitting element. The temperature and water flow can be determined by using the single-lever mixer. The PLAN shower basket, also in brushed black chrome, offers space for care products.
IXMO fittings with angular cover plates can be seen on the generously sized bath. As in other areas, the black and white design creates a stylish image.
In the toilet area, the EDITION 400 toilet paper holder and toilet brush set prove to be real everyday heroes. Even the hygiene bag dispenser and the spare toilet roll holder in brushed black chrome perfectly match the overall bathroom design.
The extravagant finishes of the fittings and accessories in brushed black chrome underline the design competence of the bathroom fittings and nicely round-off the high-quality look of the boutique hotel.
