The Art of Woven Elegance

Project: Moët Hennessy, Paris, France
Architecture Studio: Barbarito Bancel
Surface: 8000 M²

At 2tec2 we have proven that we are masters of excellence in creating made-to-measure floor covering. The proof this time lies in the new offices designed by the Barbarito Bancel architecture studio for Moët Hennessy in the heart of Paris.

As a leading producer of luxury wines and spirits, Moët Hennessy has its roots in the earth. It, therefore, went without saying that, when designing its new head office in Paris, the Barbarito Bancel architecture studio has suggested working with natural materials. Punctuated with stone, metal, wood, glass and wool, this high-end project is all about creating working spaces and the art of hospitality.

Our 2tec2 woven vinyl flooring is an excellent example of this. The architects reproduced a traditional Renaissance pattern for the soft floor covering, which they have renamed BB_Kaleido. The light creates optical effects, so that the space changes as the day progresses. At the same time, the design made full use of the complex architecture of this curved building.

This collaboration came along when Barbarito Bancel designed the 2tec2 floor covering for the office space – 8000 m2. It was created on a weaving loom and perfectly adapted to the constraints linked to the project; the tiles, which were placed on a technical subfloor, are not only acoustic but are also removable, fireproof and suitable for castor chairs.

“2tec2 flooring is produced at our site in Belgium. We offer a wide range of products in the form of collections, but we can also design customised floor coverings. For the Moët Hennessy project, everything has been made to measure, including the design, colour scheme, and shape.”
