New Threads Interlaced the Indian Collection

Pattee: A Vision of Floral Elegance and Modernity

The essence of beauty remains intact in every fallen petal of a flower. Imbued with renewed energy, these
petals often give birth to breathtaking ideas. Our skilled handcrafters have appropriated one such instance of
inspiration to create a magnificent rug – Pattee – that reconsiders the concept of fallen beauties.
This oval-shaped rug is a futuristic and modern creation, unique in its own right, drawing inspiration from a
sterile flower petal. Using mortelling to bring the ombre effect to life adds depth and dimension to your
interior. The soft texture of the rug makes it a beautiful piece of work that complements both futuristic and
classic setups.
Pattee is hand tufted with the highest quality wool and offers a 10 to 13-mm pile height, ensuring a plush feel
underfoot. This height contributes to the rug’s aesthetic appeal, durability, and comfort, making it an ideal
choice for high-traffic areas and intimate spaces.

Najah: A Tapestry of Tradition and Modernity

The legacy of bridging the young and the old is a significant aspect of our rug-making heritage. Weaving through this cultural process, we come across Najah, a unique adornment. Its shades of pine green and muted deep yellows, garnishing the carpet, emanate an aura of both archaic and contemporary design. It is perfect for adding life and culture to a simple, monochromatic space.

The design of Najah is a delicate dance of contrasts. It features traditional motifs that pay homage to the rich tapestry of Eastern cultures while also embracing a modern aesthetic that speaks to current trends. Like all Yarns of the East products, Najah is made-to-order, offering complete customization in size, colours, design, shape, and materials. Hand-tufted with meticulous attention to detail, Najah boasts a 10 to 12-mm pile height.

Indivara: A Symphony in Maroon and Muted Tones

Amidst the exquisite handwoven pieces in Yarns of the East’s Indian Collection, Indivara symbolises elegance and tranquillity. This rug, named after the Sanskrit word for ‘Lotus’, reflects its serene and sublime beauty. The lotus, known for its ability to emerge pristine from murky waters, is a powerful symbol of purity and rebirth in many Eastern cultures, and Indivara captures this essence in its design.

The rug’s base is a soothing, muted tone, setting a tranquil backdrop that allows the maroon thread details to flourish like a lotus in bloom. These maroon accents are not just decorative elements; they are narrative threads, each swirl and line a part of a larger story woven by skilled artisans. The craftsmanship is evident in every inch of the rug, with a hand-tufted weave technique that adds depth and texture.

Made with the finest New Zealand wool, Indivara is a testament to skilled artisanship and sustainable practices. Its biodegradable nature ensures that it is as kind to the earth as it is to the eyes. With a height of 8 to 10 mm, the rug offers a luxurious underfoot feel, adding an element of comfort to its aesthetic appeal.
