Originally hailing from India and now proud residents of Dubai, Joyston and his business partner, Kirti Sharma, embarked on a transformative journey that ultimately gave birth to Yarns of the East—the pivotal moment occurred during a profound visit to Varanasi, where they bore witness to the deep-rooted significance of hand-weaving rugs within a vibrant community of weavers and their families. Leveraging Kirti’s extensive background in product design and collaborating with a family manufacturer boasting a legacy dating back to 1969, Joyston meticulously crafted Yarns of the East, affectionately known as “Yote”.
