Claudio Bellini

Mario Bellini, born in Milan, Italy in 1935, studied architecture at Milan Polytechnic. He taught at the Istituto Superiore di Disegno Industriale in Venice between 1962-1965 and was a design consultant at Olivetti from 1963-1991. Bellini began designing his own products and furniture from 1963 onwards and founded the architectural and design firm ‘Studio Bellini’ in 1973. He also worked as a design consultant for Renault from 1978-82 and was Editor-in-Chief of the magazine ‘Domus’ from 1986-1991.

Claudio Bellini lives and works in Milan, and graduated in architecture and industrial design from the city’s renowned Polytechnic. His father Mario Bellini has been a source of inspiration since his early childhood. The two collaborated on the development of the HeadLine office chair for Vitra in 2006.
