Rashid Yousif

Rashid Yousif, a UAE national, is a senior director of the Surfaces Furnishings Group. As the Managing Director for the Group, Mr. Yousif has been instrumental in building the flooring division (Carpet Land LLC) into the leader of its industry within the region.

Currently, he is concentrating on Group’s business milestones for the future which include, seeing more of their Contracts Division expansion plans, Curtainland, Officeland, Rugland and Carpetland outlets outside of the Gulf Cooperation Council and to see the company on the Dubai Stock Exchange. The group is currently experiencing an annual growth rate of 30 – 40 per cent per annum.

A graduate from the University of Al Ain with a degree in Business Administration and Accounts, Yousif started his career at the Ministry of Health for three years prior to joining the family business. After working for the Ministry of Health one of his most gratifying business achievements was becoming one of the founders for the Emirates Co-operation. Here his key responsibilities entailed operations, purchasing and human resources. He worked with them for three years from 1993-1996 while honing his management skills. He then joined Surfaces Furnishings group in 1997 as a business development manager for the flooring division and till date he is leading the business as Managing Director.
