Bread Head, the part bakery, part coffee shop, part work-hub. LXA took control of the branding and design to marry up with the concept, created by Architaste. The unique selling point of Breadhead, is to stimulate senses through the aroma of freshly baked bread, in a visually inviting space. The low-key design makes for an approachable and unpretentious venue that attracts the local neighborhood, guests of the attached Hotel and passing by visitors.
Most services are located in the front of the house, with only the bare essentials tucked away in the small space at the back of the house, which immerses guests into the action. Bread preparation counter is central to the space creating interaction between guests and the bakers. Industrial exposed steel beams and concrete floors are softened with light-colored, warm natural timbers and full height sheer curtains. Familiar residential inspired furniture is included along with ample use of planters. Instagrammable points are incorporated throughout the venue. Pattern and colour are introduced through signage, throw rugs and cushions. Garage style doors demarcate the space while a storage mezzanine level draws the eye high into the space while also creating lower more intimate lounging areas.
