About the project
Rising from the heart of the French Alps, Chalet Joux Plane masterfully combines traditional Alpine design with minimalism, through wood and glass structures. Marullaz Architectures together with the interior designer team Shep & Kyles for the main rooms,
Rationality and space are two adjectives that define the residence, with high wooden ceilings and large picture windows that integrate it into the landscape. With a uniform aesthetic based on brown and gray tones and Scandinavian-style furniture, this movie home (reminiscent of James Bond’s house in ‘Spectre’) presents great light and symmetry.
The living area is located on the upper level with two distinct zones (a lounge and dining room), where the XXL sofas in dark shades tie in beautifully with the hardwood structural beams; meanwhile the leisure area is located on the lower level.
There you’ll find a gym, cinema room, art gallery, games room, spa, jacuzzi, hammam and indoor swimming pool. The aesthetic in the spa area revolves around rusty textures. This joins the area seamlessly with the hammam, the perfect choice thanks to its resistance against scratches, blows and high temperatures.
