Modern Apartment in Neoclassical Style, Moscow

A young couple, the owners of the apartment, reached out to interior designer Alisa Shabelnikova for her creative expertise to create a welcoming and bright space where classical elements harmoniously blend with contemporary furniture and art pieces. Located in a residential complex near the Moscow Lake, just a short walk from the water, this 120 m² apartment was quickly acquired by the couple in a competitive real estate market. From the very beginning, Art Simple Studio faced numerous design challenges, such as awkward angles, divided and inconvenient living spaces, and conspicuous ventilation systems.

The redesign, adopting the enfilade approach, ensures a smooth transition between areas. A spacious entry hall leads into a living space adorned with panoramic views. A smart solution was found for the kitchen’s intrusive ventilation and plumbing by integrating them into the design using walnut veneer panels. This not only matched the kitchen cabinetry but also maintained a uniform aesthetic throughout the space.

The private areas of the apartment include a master suite with its own bathroom and wardrobe, as well as practical storage solutions and a separate laundry area. The versatile guest bedroom is designed with future needs in mind and can easily be transformed into a cozy nursery if necessary. The interior’s color scheme is based on warm whites combined with dark walnut veneers, creating a refined backdrop. This uniform finishing strategy enhances the spacious and luminous atmosphere of the home. Collaborating on this project was a genuine pleasure. Their clients were in sync with us throughout each phase, leading to a result that perfectly matched our initial vision in every aspect.
