KGA Office, Dubai

It was important for DZ Design’s design team to focus on creating an elegant, contemporary space within KGA’s new Jumeirah lake towers location which would also have a sophisticated design edge that portrayed their new branding. Key parts of the brief was for the client to have a multipurpose meeting suite attached to an impactful reception and a central office area which also had a coffee lounge, to encourage informal meetings and collaboration.

The base build was well-executed and minimal, with clean concrete soffit and black track lighting. The design intent was to amplify these existing features with the use of concrete effect wall finishes and grey tones and the oak, light timber finishes were there to bring an earthy warmth while deliberately being a stark departure from the traditional wenge or walnut tones that are often associated with office interiors.

The overall theme throughout the space focuses on clean lines with a cool Scandinavian material palette. The lighting was key in adding subtle hints of ‘cool’ via feature pendants and the use of LED strips in the joinery were included to highlight the clean lines.
