Magpie Jewelry – Gate Mall, Doha

Award-winning, multi-disciplinary practice Nakkash Design Studio recently conceptualized and launched Magpie, a fine jewelry store nestled in Gate Mall, Qatar. Staying true to the firm’s DNA of developing concept-driven and human centered designs, Nakkash launched into a process of ideation to develop the core idea. Even at the outset, the focus was to construct a strong brand identity first before designing the interiors of the store. Building on the meta image of a magpie, the team developed a design language and transformed the cozy 75 sq. retail space into an abstracted bird’s nest. The interiors and design elements were carefully crafted to subtly evoke this central idea.
