About the project
STILL YOUNG revitalizes NEIWAI ACTIVE’s sportswear brand image in two stores through modular design. NEIWAI ACTIVE, launched in 2018, combines textile fabrics, design aesthetics, and technology for tailored sportswear solutions. Going global in 2020, the brand collaborated with Still Young to conceptualize new stores, anchoring the design in product textures and styles to infuse a sporty rhythm into the spatial experience.
The design features a circular island installation inspired by Matisse’s “The Dance,” capturing the strength and elegance of females during exercise. The interior space, characterized by wood color, curved lines, and modular elements, creates a serene vibe akin to a pilates studio. Through soft floodlighting and playful use of shadows, the design establishes a welcoming atmosphere. Balancing rigidity and flexibility, curved surfaces and textile textures harmonize square and roundness, while modular props cater to different product series, offering flexibility for changing seasons and new arrivals. The design, embodying the brand’s ethos, invites customers on a delightful shopping journey, encouraging them to discover more possibilities while embracing themselves.
