About the project
Due to their large size and noisy attractions, amusement parks are among the most difficult environments to acoustically correct. If they do not have good acoustics, they run the risk of turning into unpleasant places where it becomes difficult to have a good time.
For an important theme park in the Middle East, MAPPY ITALIA created acoustic ceiling panels in various shapes and sizes – up to 7 metres long in a single panel – into which perimeter lighting was then incorporated to give dynamism and liveliness to the space.
MAPPY ITALIA also created the starry sky in the park using the new generation fibre, Silsonic black sheet, in which holes were created to insert fibre optic lighting. The light spots, contrasting with the black, recall a clear starry night.
The entire project was assessed and approved by external acoustic specialists, who confirmed that the recorded results comply with international standards and meet the requirements of the design engineers.
